There's a lot of indecision going on with Greg's job right now. (He's not in danger of losing it, thankfully, but it's been discussed he might lose some area he currently has - the most stable part of his current area!)
His boss claims nothing will change at least through Q4, at which time Greg heard from his friend (who also works with Greg) that Greg and this friend would be partnered up in town. We don't believe that. The boss is telling everyone exactly what he needs to in order to placate everyone and Greg knows this. He also knows that come end of Q4, Greg won't be partnered with friend, and will end up losing previously mentioned area.)
So... that brings us to a crossroads of sorts (again). Greg's been presented with a competing offer with a smaller company. Of course, there's good and bads (mostly that it's a less-well established company. Greg's current company has been around FOREVER, over 100 years. This other company? DEFINITELY less.)
I would really appreciate any thoughts/prayers you could offer for us; it's a BIG decision and it's already been like 2 weeks weighing on Greg's mind (and him not sleeping). We mostly want to make the right decision for Greg's future - and therefore the future of our family. Greg's so worried he'll make the WRONG decision.
Re: Thoughts please.
Ditto. I'll only buy from Greg's company too! Between the nesties and our friends, we can turn small company into a huge one!
Awww, thanks guys! Kristin, I KNOW they sell in IL (both companies, actually). Mandy, sorry - I think you'd only have the option to purchase from his current company. The other hasn't expanded to VA yet.
Thanks everyone! It really sucks because I'm such a gut-feeling person. When he came home Wednesday, thinking nothing was changing, I just FELT like there something still in the air. And kept thinking "So even though nothing's changing doesn't mean it's the RIGHT decision to stay where you're at!" I'm mentally debating with myself every day. LOL
You guys are too cute! I am in on boycotting which ever company he leaves products!!
On a serious note, trust in him that he (& you) will make the right decision. It is hard when it comes to such a serious thing as your career...we all get comfortable where we are and when something else comes along it automatically feels risky. Be happy that he has another option, it could be much worse. I'll be thinking of you guys and sending lots of good vibes!
