:::Amy::: re 3Day Walk

Hi there,

I was so moved by your recap of the 3Day Walk that you did.  The Seattle 3Day is this weekend and a couple of my friends are doing it.  I want to surprise them by showing up at one of the cheering stations and bringing them little gifts.  I thought that pink feather boas might be fun, but I wanted to ask you:  what would you have liked people to bring you on your walk?  I'll probably go today at lunch, so they will have only been walking for a few hours on the first day.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Re: :::Amy::: re 3Day Walk

  • Hi Melissa!

    They will be SO moved to see you at a cheering station, particularly if they aren't expecting it.  The boa idea is great, so long as it is toward the end of the route for the day.  If it's on too long I could see it getting annoying as they got more tired through the day.

    The best thing that people passed out on the route was baby wipes.  It felt so good to wipe my face, neck and hands.  the other thing could be a power bar or shot blocks to pop in their pack just in case of emergency hunger!

    It is so moving to see all those people walking, you'll really enjoy it.  Thinking about it brings back tears!

    Amy
