And the reason is totally stupid. ?I can't sleep because of our baby monitor. It's not the greatest thing on the market and I keep thinking that I am going ?to replace it but haven't gotten around to it yet. ?It can only be heard if it's on full volume or is at a lower setting but right by your head. ?It doesn't just pick up what's going on in the baby's room it amplifies background noise. If it's raining the baby monitor goes nuts. ?We have a train track that runs through our back yard. ?It's 3 acres back at the very edge of the property and even outside you don't always hear it. ?Yet if you turn the baby monitor on you hear all 7 trains that go by at night.
The sound flow in our house totally sucks so Scarlett could be screaming at the top of her lungs and you wouldn't hear it in my bedroom so you need to have the damn thing on . ? Last night I forgot to turn off the fan over the stove. turns out it has a tick I didn't know was there until the baby monitor picked it up. ?I am on the computer in my kitchen waiting for baby bottle water to boil with the fan on. ?I can't hear the tick standing right next to it but you can hear it through the monitor. ?
There are so many random noises going on in a house at night that I get up two or three times to check on the baby because I think that maybe the cat got in her room or something but it's always nothing. ?Except one time I ignored it thinking it was nothing and the cat HAD gotten into her room and was playing with DD's head she didn't have claws out but she was chewing DD's ear and kicking her in the side of the head so now I always investigate a noise I don't?recognize. ??I am going insane. ?The craziest part? ?Scarlett awake and crying comes through muffled and distorted and barely?audible?. ??
Re: I can't sleep.
For this reason alone I would get a new (and better) monitor today.
