Your Screen Name...

Does it have a meaning? Why did you choose it? What is the meaning behind it if so...

I realize you all have probably had this discussion early in the game (I was very late to theknot party), sorry for the repeat :) but I am curious about some of them and always like to find out the story behind the name. I know a lot of them are self-explanatory, but I am curious to hear any stories!

Re: Your Screen Name...

  • Oh yeah, mine is angelfire obviously. Angelfire is the name of a resort in Albuquerque, NM where our family has land. Albuquerque is where I was born. Angelfire is also where my aunt's ashes were laid to rest. She passed away in 2004 after a battle with Ovarian Cancer...not saying that to be morbid, but it has a lot of sentimental meaning to me on many different levels. 4 and 12 are the months of my kids birthdays.
  • SBS = scrapbookstar (my old SN)

    0628 = Wedding Anniversary

    I chose "scrapbookstar" because it's what a lot of my friends called me, and it's a segment of my personalized license plate.

  • Kellybeth is the nickname my grandmother gave me when I was a baby, it's a shortened version of my name Kelly Elizabeth. My birthday is January 24th so that's where the 124 comes from.

  • mine is quite simple really as I'm Barb & he's Steve!  I didn't really think much of it at the time as when I signed up for TK - so I just kept it simple. I didn't even know the message boards existed...had I known I might have chosen something else.

  • m1salas is the school email I was given in college. I didnt know about the Knot boards when I first signed up either, but I would have picked something more fun if I did
  • On the Knot I was soon2bemrsh -- pretty obvious.  I didnt want that moniker anymore on the Nest so I made a new name.  I'm not overly creative but I'm originally from Iowa and a big Hawkeyes fan so I shortened it so it would fit to Hawkilady.
  • My old SN was the first two letters of each of my names, clelwi (not awesome, and also no longer true because I changed my name).  My new one is the first syllable of my new last name and "now," because that's my name now!
  • Mamie is my BFF's nickname for me (Amy). The 329 is the date we became engaged on 3/29/08.

  • My original SN was a combination of both of our last names, Brangelina style, because I found it amusing and didn't know about the boards. Then, some people from real life found my bio because they knew about that name so I changed it to RedZee. Red is because it's what my name means (my name is Hebrew) and it's my fav color. Zee is because the old SN started with a Z and people had started calling me Zee and I liked that.

    Although, I kind of wish I had made it RedZed.

  • cruella is the name of my snake, and I've always liked the number 13
  • DH and I met at the University of Kentucky and are both HUGE fans. the mascot is the Kentucky Wildcat.
  • My name is Meghan Elizabeth. I'm not creative in the least so I chose something simple.

  • Kay-lynne is the sort of phoenetic spelling of my middle name, which nobody ever pronounces correctly (the actual spelling only has five letters and the vowels are not what most people expect).  Plus it's much less common than my first name, which was #1 in popularity for most of the 70s and early 80s.
