If you had to pick a FAVORITE Miami/Hollywood/Boca Restaurant

What would it be?  A place that you go for special occasions, or you would simply return over and over and over again.

We are going on a date this weekend and are interested in a semi-romantic, but fun setting.

Location does not matter.

Price-not too high ( around 15-40 dollars a plate )

FANTABULOUS FOOD!!!  you get the idea.  Something eclectic, funky, modern, seafood, Italian, Asian, steak- whatever- just something out of the norm with divine funky desserts( I need a pregnancy fix). Something with Lobster on the menu if possible would be great as well!

Something on the water would be nice- if not, just a great atmosphere.

Suggestions?

  • Sounds like the Rustic Inn is something you would like. It has crabs and lobsters on the menu, don't have to get too dolled up, on the water and fun since you get a wooden mallet to beat your food.

i've ALWAYS watned to go there!!!

  • You have to go it is def in my top 5 restaurants.
  • I think our favorites are:

    - Mis Saigon in the Gables (not too exciting or pretty, but its delicious.)

    - Seasons 52 (Delicious and has the romantic ambiance.)

    - Joe Stone Crabs - This is my favorite place to go to celebrate something.  But it's more pricey than you are looking to spend...

We also used to love Peppy's in the Gables frequently , its romantic and absolutely delicious, but be careful about your tab.  They have overcharged us THREE times there (they do the bills by hand) and were rude when we kindly brought it to their attention.  I wish we could go back there though, its amazing.

  • I went to Mis Saignon with Michi and have to agree- it was fantastic. Best vietnamese food I have ever had and not pricey.

We have always loved Charley's Crab- although, the last time we went it wasn't top notch.

Council Oak in the Hardrock is goooood.

Bella Sera, in Boca, is DH's favorite.

He's my fairytale, a dream when I'm not sleeping.

  • For special occasions we usually go to Chima or Casablanca Cafe in Ft. Lauderdale. Houston's in Aventura is really pretty because it's right on the water.
  • Another thing to take into account is Miami Spice is going on... great restaurants at "discounted" prices (fixed menu).

Our place to to celebrate is usually Ruth Chris.

I would love to go to Joe's, but it's closed right now.  :-(
