Need to paint a dresser....recs for pros?
So we found out on Friday we are having a GIRL! Woohoo! Still shocked but so excited.
Anyway, I am all about decorating the nursery now and my Mother has given me my grandmother's dresser and rocking chair. I'd like to get the dresser painted white with a distressed vintage look. Any recs of furniture places that can do this? Next stop would be craigslist, but I'd prefer recommendations first.
TIA!!

I've been waiting to hear all weekend - congrats on your little girl!
No recs, we did all of our refinishing ourselves.

I was just thinking about when you were going to find out! Congrats!!! Girls are taking over Orange County!!
(Sorry no recs)
Thanks everyone! We were expecting to hear "boy" so it was a bit of a shock. So excited and shopping is even more fun!
Kelli, I wish I could paint the furniture myself but I am so over DIY at this point. I just want someone to professionally do it for us. It's a large piece of furniture and I dont want to f' it up.
I don't blame you. I'm in the middle of painting our dresser and I actually had a hormonal meltdown earlier this afternoon because of it. The crib was cake compared to this (and my mom/grandma's dresser that I redid earlier this year).

Congrats on your little girl! I can't believe how many of them there are right now.
Sorry, I have no recs on the painting, but good luck!
I totally know what you mean, this was us too at first! shocked yet excited
Furniture place? Have a consultation with the men of all men, buy the two a 12 pack, and let them at it.
haha C. I love the way you think.
However, this is a special dresser so I dont know if mixing a 12pack with our men would produce a quality product
The 12 pack is for later. To motivate to actually finish a project.
ps. If you take it somewhere, I won't tell him. You would never hear the end of it....
