I'm in a mood so here are two confessions, you can flame me if you want, I can handle it.

I love babies in headbands. If I ever have a baby and it's a girl I will put a headband on her head every day with a huge bow ::putting on flame retardant suit::

I judge parents that send Lunchables or Chef Boyarde for their childs lunch every day. I know that if their kids are in daycare their parents most likely work and are tired at the end of the day and I'm tired too but I'm sorry it takes only 5 minutes to throw together a sandwich or put some leftovers in a Tupperware container.  There is no nutritional value whatsoever in a Lunchable or in macaroni and cheese that comes out of a can still in the can shape. A little protein, a fruit and a vegetable with something sweet for dessert is not that hard to put together.

  • I will judge your daughter in a headband.

  • First off, you make me laugh!

Second, for your first confession, Most of my friends LOVE the big @ss bow. My confession, I hate them so much. =)

For your second confession, I totally, totally agree. I think if parents read the nutritional facts for Lunchables they probably would not send them. They are incredibly high in fat, and they're packed with sodium (almost a days worth of sodium). They really have no nutritional value.

  • You're on your own with the bows. But I think that's because my mom made me wear them. I'm with you on the lunchables. I know the kids love them, but some have them everyday! And they can never open all of those little pouches on their own. And one of the lite girls today said her mom said we needed to microwave it for her. Um no. They serve hot lunch daily people!
  • No flames but I too will judge on the headbanded baby.  Not a fan of them...

I never really thought about the lunch thing for kids.  My mom never bought stuff like that even though we begged her so I never even really consider them lunch.  Although, I can do some serious damage to Chef Boyardee ravioli.

  • I don't mind the stretchy soft loose headbands with the bows, but I can't stand the elastic ones that make marks on babies heads.

As for the lunches, parents need to take the time to take care of their kids.  I realize you're busy, but your kids' health is first!

  • Belle, I can't flame you for the bows! I love a baby girl with a big headband bow. Embarrassed Trust me, any little girl of mine will sport them.

I can't imagine sending my kid off with lunchables or chef boyarde. That stuff is kinda gross IMO anyway. My mom just never fed us that kind of stuff. Not that everything was organic and super healthy but we at least had a piece of fruit or a pb&j.

  • I think the bows are cute occasionally. I feel bad for the babies whose parents put one on them every single day. Like when the bow becomes a permanent fixture on the babies head and you don't recognize it without the bow. Indifferent

Totally agree on the lunch thing. It makes me so angry to see parents feed their kids crap all the time.

Okay, I promise I will not be this bad! I like a bow and all but we don't really need one everyday.

  • Belle- I am with you on the bows my baby will have a bow on,I think its adorable.

I couldnt agree more on the lunchables and macaroni and a can, its horrible for you and I agree it doesnt take much just to throw together a sandwich.

  • i will judge your giant headbands with bows!

i hate them. they are tacky IMO.

and i agree with the lunch thing.

Bows are a different story.  I like bows a lot and my kid will totally sport that.  When she has hair.  And not when it's attached to a headband.

  • Headband bows on babies...I always hated them.  Then, I had an adorable little girl with no hair.  Now, at 14 months old, she STILL doesn't have enough hair to clip a bow, a barette, anything, into!  I use the stretchy headbands with a matching bow for special occasions.

I refuse to pierce her ears but I have come to love the headband bow.

I refuse to pierce E's ears too, and you wouldn't believe how often people harrass me about it!  Maybe I don't want to go poking holes in my baby!!  It's not my ears to pierce, anyway!
