Time Warner Cable

Has anyone been able to talk TWC into giving them a lower rate? My plan is expiring soon and I am hoping to save some money. Any tips on how to talk them into giving me a cut?

Re: Time Warner Cable

  • I'd look at your bill for things you can cut.  We have cable, phone, and internet.  They we charging us for local, state, and out of state calls when all of our long distance is local only.  And see if a slower speed Road Runner would work ok, if you have it.  You could maybe ask if you can have current promotional pricing, but that's all I can think of.

  • I've heard you can tell them you're going to go with someone else (DirectTV) and they will usually let you keep your current plan.  I've never personally tried it, but I hear it works...worth a shot!

  • We used to call and say so-and-so (usually Cinti Bell Zoomtown) was offering X promotional rate and we were going to cancel and switch unless they could lower our rates.  It always worked like a charm and they'd keep it lowered for like 6-12 months and you could call back and repeat.

Since then, we've been using a work discount and we only have roadrunner and lifeline ($10) cable.

    this!

  • I complained to my husband that our bill was too high and he ended up calling Time Warner and asked them how we can cut our bill.  We ended up doing a contract with them and they lowered our rate.  Even if we move, we would transfer our service and stay with them.  We have cable and internet with them.
