Re: Clicky Poll: Computers...

  • I love the "I go both ways" option!

After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!

  • I love my HP. And I didn't have to sell my first born to get it.
  • I prefer something I can actually work on.

  • I go both ways unwillingly.  I just converted to Mac (for home...we're PC at work) but had to install Windows so I can finish studying for the CPA exam.  Hopefully I can get rid of that at the end of next month and be Windows-free.  Kinda weird though b/c the hubs is a computer geek and builds our PCs.
Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • After my second Dell in six years (not bad for Dell laptops, apparently) bit the dust, DH suggested that I try a Mac.  I love this thing.  The student discount made it completely affordable, and I love that I can switch languages at a click. This makes writing lesson plans, writing papers, and simple things such as research and writing emails so much simpler.  Plus, its lightweight and durable as all hell.  Now I actually take my laptop to work and class without worrying that the trip is going to randomly cause it to delete files (problem on both of the Dells, even though they had their own cases, got regular virus and system scans, and were very well cared for).
  • Definitely a Mac girl, but I have to get Windows on it to finish school.

Can someone explain to me Soft Windows? Someone told me to get it, but I have no idea what it is.

  • 90% of the time I'm on Linux, but I do have a Mac and I have Windows dual-booted on my main computer.
  • I voted both ways, because my computer use has been pretty split between mac os and windows over my lifetime. But, I just recently put ubuntu linux on my netbook, and I really like it so far.
  • PC, mainly because DH would throw a fit if I got a Mac. Well, maybe not a fit, but he would be sure to do an "I told you so" dance if I ever had a problem with it since all of his training and experience is with PCs!

My laptop was dual-booted with Linux and XP for the longest time.

  • I've always owned PC's... but I would love to get a hardcore mac system someday.

So I guess I swing both ways.

  • I've been a Mac user since our first computer in high school!  I recently bought a teeny tiny Dell mini 9, which is Windows (the other option was Linux, which I have found not worth the amount of effort it takes to set up), and it drives me INSANE.  I'm trying really hard to love Microsoft, but they make it SO HARD!  lol
  • I've been a Mac girl since I was a little kid. I grew up in a house where all of our computers were Macs. My dad was a graphic designer and he used Macs for all of his projects. My first computer was a Mac and I'll never go back. I can swing both ways because of course in school I had to use mostly PCs, although I do love those Mac labs they have on campuses now. Now I'm in a house divided because my husband is all PC because he's a gamer and feels that the PC caters to his gaming needs better. He always rubs that in my face but it never really gets to me because moments later I'm finding him rebooting his computer and banging on the desk because some virus got in or he lost a bunch of files. :) I need to buy a new laptop or computer and he's trying to convince me to go PC, sorry love, once you go Mac, you never go back.
  • I have a Mac and a PC here at work...  but I rarely use the Mac.  I just can't get into them like most people.

  • I go both ways! I love my mac, I love the size of the screen and the ease of the whole operating system really! But I also enjoy using a PC just because it's the laptop that's the PC. I'd love to get an Apple laptop, then I'd be all Mac!
