Where to find good quality tees

I've come to the conclusion the only tops I own are long ribbed tanks from Target. I used to buy shirts at Old Navy but I've finally realized it's equivalent of throwing money away since they're only good for one wear until they stretch out to tent-like proportions.

I'm basically looking for comfy, fitted tops that maybe have a bit of detail, but are basic enough that I could buy a few in different colors. Stretchy and long too.

I don't know about stretchy and long, but J. Crew has a bunch of plain tees. They have some with more detail, but just plain ones as well!

Yeah I know what you mean about Old Navy - I need to quit wasting my money even though they are cheap. I just bought a couple of plain v-neck tees a week or so ago on sale at American Eagle that I love, long and stretchy and they have retained their shape through a couple washings already. I also found a couple detailed tees at Target the other day but they aren't super long. I have enough short sleeved ones, but need to find some long sleeved ones for fall.

Ooh, forgot about AE. I usually have great luck with their stuff lasting. I stocked up on the long stretchy lightweight V-neck sweaters from there a couple of years ago. I need to stop being so cheap and just spend the money for quality clothes.

I completely have this problem. I refuse to pay full price and I think $20 for a tshirt is ridiculous. I'm cheap, therefore my clothes are disposable. Someday maybe I'll grow up.

I live in Target t-shirts. They will make it through a season, but not much longer than that. We just went through our closet last night pulling out all the old stuff and I realized I need to go purchase this fall/winter's batch of long sleeve t-shirts. From Target of course.

Yep, this is me. I MUST get over this. I have given garbage bags full of cheap shirts away that I may have worn once or twice. I've finally learned to stop buying stuff at ON (except for fleece pants and the occasional pair of jeans) -- just need to work on buying decent stuff now.

KB, I noticed most of Target's long-sleeve tees are pretty crewneck. Unfortunately I need to have something more scoopy or v-necky since crewneck makes my b00bs look too porno.

I feel you KB. When H moved in with me...he had about 4 contractor bags full of clothes that he got rid of and he still needs to get rid of a ton more. I need to go through my closet too...I do a $500 Goodwill donation every year and still have a ridiculous amount of clothes I never wear.

Yup, we're headed to Goodwill tonight with all this stuff. We have a very large closet but it was getting ridiculous with all that stuff in there.

I read that as "Where to find good quality TREES" and my first instinct was to say, um, outside?

That being said, I like tees from Macys or Nordstoms... or Express. Or Old Navy. Depending on who is having a sale, really lol
