I know this question is not ever black & white. But for the most part, are you and your DH opposite or similar??
Re: Poll: Opposite or Alike
In certain ways, we are very opposite in a very teen movie kind of way. He was the typical HS jock: captain of the wrestling team, on the football team, got crappy grades, hated to read, super popular. I was the HS nerd: honors classes, Model UN club (president in college), had friends but not popular, etc. (And we were in HS together so we got to witness it all.) Also, we often approach the same thing in very opposite ways.
But in other ways, we are very similar. Once someone lies to us, it's very hard to regain our trust. We can both be very stubborn. We both have kind of a dark sense of humor (but I'm way funnier). We just have the same values and beliefs. Overall - we both feel like the other person gives us balance and it's something we each value getting.
We have been working on developing joint activities. Dancing has been a great one because it's active for him and I'm obsessed with dancing.

Married
We are alike in many ways - both kinda introverted (or at least take a while to open up to people), artistic, stubborn, silly... and share similar interests - music, drawing, design, travelling, cats, trying new things. many times we will be thinking the same thing at the same time ? sometimes our friends get weirded out by that.
But we are also very different - he can be set in his ways / i am more go with the flow kind of person, i am big on family / he isn't so much, i am more of an optimist / he's more of a pessimist. He is picky about who he makes friends with / i tend to like pretty much everyone. i love being outside and seeing nature / he is an indoorsy guy, i love to read / he likes to play video games. i like to be active / he'd rather sleep.
somehow it all works out!
we're pretty much completely opposite.
He likes computers, I like history. He's good at math (ridiculously good...), I got a 1 on the calc AP exam in high school (to his everlasting shame). I enjoy being social, he likes staying in. I'm obsessively neat - he doesn't understand the point of a made bed. I put a lot of effort into what I wear - he needs my assistance picking out clothes that look put together. I like sports, he does not. he's on the atkins diet, and if there is an opposite of it - so the high carb diet, that's pretty much how I eat. I'm Catholic, he's an atheist. etc etc etc. but it makes life interesting
and we both love cooking, traveling, and each other. So we do have things in common
It depends on the issue but for the most part we are alike.
