til Sunday! I saw a house today and its just enough for us to start our life in Prairieville (meaning big enough and within our budget). So I'm bringing my DH and in-laws to see it on Sunday! Holy crap, I might be a home-owner in a month or so! Now I just have to wait it out til Sunday and hope the suspence doesn't kill me! Any new home-owner advice or questions to ask?
Re: i can't wait
Ooh, that's very exciting! The first time home buying process can be intense but it is so rewarding.
These are the only questions I could think of at the moment:
Does the house have gas or electricity? What's the average cost per month on these?
Is it under termite contract?
If it's in a subdivision, are there any HOA dues? Restrictions?
I would also be prepared for them to ask for a pre-approval from a bank. Some owners won't let you put an offer in without that. But your realtor should go over all of that with you.
GL! Let us know how it goes!
That is excellent advice, bboe!
And YGPM too.
