your bags?

I'm trying to figure out how to organize my purses and briefcase-ish bags. Right now, they are at the bottom of the closet and I have to dig through the closet to find what I'm looking for. Some are in a bigger bag on a shelf and I don't even look at those. If I have access to them, I'll use them, but right now they are just really aggravating for me and for C. Any ideas??

All my purses are on a shelf in my closet (it is one of those closet systems, so this shelf has raised sides, keeping the purses in). My briefcase is over near my desk, along with Aaron's. This reminds me I have to go through and get rid of some. I have like 40,000 fancy purses, but I never go out anywhere that I get dressed up all fancy.

I have mine in one of those clear plastic containers in a spare bedroom. I just go in there and see what I have. Itis nice to go in there and see a purse I forgot about.

Mine are hanging on an over the door shoe rack in my closet

Mine are on their own special shelf at the top of the closet. I only have 3 though that I wear all the time. My clutches and smaller bags are in dust bags in a larger bag. I also have a few hobos/totes that I hang on hangers.

I keep the purses in a larger bag on a shelf in my office. It helps that I recently did a big purge so I only have about 5. The smaller clutches I keep in a storage ottoman with wraps and caps.

My dad made me a coat tree with a second set of hooks below the coats - most of my bags hang here.

Ooohhh....shoe hanging thing...that sounds good. Does it have hooks? I'm not sure I totally understand what you're talking about.

You would normally put the inside of the shoe over those shoehorn type things, but I just hang purses on it.

I have the same problem, mine are stuffed into milk crates because there isnt enough room to put them on a shelf/hang them on a door in our closet so I never use the majority of them.

I think I love the shoe rack thing. If it doesn't work, then a clear box it is. Thanks for the help! One day we will get this place under control...

I have a basket in the closet in my bedroom with them. This way I can pick out my outfit and decide if I want to switch purses. I mainly use small purses or clutches so switching is easy as I don't carry a lot of stuff with me.

Mine are in a clear plastic bin. I really should get rid of them, because I'm not a "switch purses" kinda gal. I use one until I'm sick of it, add it to the plastic bin, and then buy a new one.

Well my answer won't help much but I figured I'd write it anyways! I'm not a purse person therefore I have one everyday purse that I've had for like 5 years (no joke). No organization needed!!!

I just got this week's catalogue from BBB and they have a handbag hangup organizer! But I think I like the show rack idea best. The straps on those are something that I think I won't end up doing. Also, I think I have more bags. But I think I need to also get rid of a bunch of them.
