book recommendations

my mom is about to have surgery on friday and have her gall bladder removed.  So i assume she will be chillin in bed for a few days. Normally i would get her sweets, but she is watching her weight.

she likes happy endings, chick books etc. nothing scarey. any good recommendations? TIA!

Re: book recommendations

  • Those are my kind of books!

I just finished and really liked 'What I did for Love' by Susan Elizabeth Philips

  • I love anything by Jodi Picolut (I think that's the spelling)  I just read her latest and finished it in a few days
  • Ditto, Jodi P.

The Glass Castle is a really interesting book.  Kind of a happy ending considering the woman's childhood.

The Myth of You & Me is also good.

  • The Time Travelers Wife!  It was awesome.  And ditto to any Jodi Picoult books!
Pregnant with twins! :-) BabyFruit Ticker Follow Me on Pinterest my read shelf:
Meghan's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • I just read Nora Robert's new one, Vision in White.  It's a love story and about friends who have their own wedding business.

Alan Brennert's Molokai was really good.  Not really chick lit which I normally stick with but it was very interesting, kind of sad too.
