Man posing as cop in shreveport
On the news this morning they were doing a story about this man who decided to install a red flashing light on his dashboard. He then thought he would go out as a "cop" and pull people over. The first person he pulled over was the mayor of Shreveport, who promptly called the actual police. The police found a gun in his car too.
Some people are so effing stupid.

I saw that last night. I'm glad they caught him. That would be scary for someone.
He is stupid! And that's great that he got caught!!!
Oh my God what an ass.
On that note, I remember learning that if you are pulled over late at night and you aren't sure if it's a real cop (because this has been happening much more frequently) than you can put on your flashers, slow down and pull into a lighted parking lot or public space with other people around. You can then call the police dept and verify that they have a cop out that way. If you put your flashers on and slow down it won't look like you are running from the cops.
I learned this a while ago but there was also an article about in October's Cosmo which was interesting. Apparently people are posing as fire fighters now too. Scary.
