Another project for us to start then abandon
Re: Another project for us to start then abandon
I'm taking it as a way to sort of "pay it forward"- I like the idea of not reaching goals just for the betterment of myself but also just making a nice gesture towards random people. I think people rarely think about other people nowadays and this would be a good start for some to put a hand out there and not be so caught up in their own lives (i.e myself).
You're also supposed to rewrite the list to suit your own tastes - some of the things on these lists I would definitely not care to do.
I think it's interesting... and I LOVE making lists so I might have to try it.
On the one hand, I think it's interesting.
On the other hand, I'd rather be nice to people for the sake of being nice to people, not because I need to cross it off my list.
I like it, especially her list. There's so many great ideas that I totally identify with (outside of creating etsy stores).
I know myself. I'd create a list, maybe even cross off three things and then abandon it. On the other hand, I did a pretty kicka$$ job on my Knot wedding checklist. But there was a really specific goal/date in mind there.

I am with you. I read this and thought "meh." 101 things is really a lot; I think you have to start just making them up at the end. Plus a lot of the things she wanted to do are things I have done (and probably a lot of you have done, too). Like pay the toll of the person behind you, It's sort of strange to be thinking "Ok, all the other times I've done this it doesn't count, but now that it's on my list, I do it and check!"
