Hello Everyone
I know I posted this a few months ago but it has been 8 months since we designed our album and they still havent been able to give it to us or tell us when it will be in. Can anyone tell me the timeframe it took them to give you your albums?
Eli I think you said you got it within 6 months. Anyone else use him?

im just super annoyed that they can even give me a deadline like "2 months" anything. its like they have given up.

I got mine about six months after we finished designing it.
Who have you been speaking to, Maja or Richard? I always communicate with Maja and she's very responsive.
I write to them and sometimes, like today they are quick to respond, but it is always brief, not very aplogetic and not informative. They tell me the company is backed up, but I wonder if they are following up with this company enough. It makes me nervous that I may not get my books at all and of course my family is on my case.

I don't know their situation, but as a photographer myself, I can tell you that these things can take time! Album design can take a few weeks if the photographer really takes pride in it, and sometimes album vendors have horrendously long wait times! I have had to wait up to 16 weeks for albums before being shipped from a manufacturer!
Plus we are coming out of a really busy spring season.. I know I am super backed up myself trying to finish my spring/summer stuff before fall season starts.... so just be patient and see if they can give you a time line. Believe me, they are probably just as stressed out as you are between dealing with a crappy economy and trying to finish their deadlines!

We are all dealing with crappy economies, deadlines. I dont feel that is an excuse because we all have similar issues and stress, it is just a part of life and we have to learn to deal with it. it has nothing to do with this post. I paid them according to their schedule in the contract so regardless of the economy I paid them their fee and was happy to do so for the serviced they provided, but I havent received the full service yet.
My album design was finalized in early February so it isnt that they are backed up designing it because of the season. I see you have had to wait 16 weeks to get an album back from the manufacturer, but I have now been waiting 8 months since we finished the design.
I know they cant control the manufacturers, but It would at least be nice to have an estimate based on how long it has taken them to get recently printed books. I havent been able to even get that and that is the frustrating part. I understand this may not be their fault but I wonder if they are pressuring the manufacturing or taking a relaxed attitude with them and not following up.
When you pay someone in full and it takes months to receive the product, you just want to make sure you are actually going to get it.
Just topping because I dont live in the area and am wondering if anyone has heard anything or if other brides have gotten there albums from them.
