Quick question--- When can I expect my hair loss to stop... or at least slow down?

I knew that I would start losing hair arond the 3 month mark, but MAN I think I'm going to be bald! I have thick hair (thank God), but it's still falling out at an alarming rate... please reassure me that not only will it stop soon, but I will still have hair left after!

Don't worry, it will stop! I think I was about 5 or 6 months pp before it completely stopped. It scared the heck out of me for a while because I have really fine hair...but it's back to normal now.

P.S. I seriously want to reach through my screen and give your little one a good squeeze. She is too cute!

I was going to send you the same BabyCenter link. My BFF lost her hair after her baby was born (and even had a small "bald" patch by which she was devestated)...it stopped around 6 months post partum for her and now her hair is back to normal. Try not to stress about it. If you're still worried in a few months definietly ask your doctor about it.

My hair guy said that it should taper off at around 6 months. Isn't it horrible?! One day MH looked in the bathroom trash and saw so much hair he asked me if I was ok! It is seriously alarming how much hair falls out!

Okay along those lines when does baby stop losng hair. Poor jaylee she has the donald trump thing going on. TONS on top and going bald on the sides. I feel sooo bad for her

wow, i have learned so many fun pg-related things from you ladies...like the hair loss, and the weeks(?!) of bleeding, ...sigh. guess someday, i too, will think it's all worth it anyway. Smile

I'm at 5.5 months pp and it's still coming out in clumps in the shower. Mine has always fallen out alot though, just a little more so now
