Where do you buy your jeans?
I have the hardest time finding good fitting jeans due to my 'pear' shape...does anyone else have this problem? Where you do you find your jeans? My problem is that my jeans always gap in the back around the waist.
Married 6/10/09 in Bermuda.
Re: Where do you buy your jeans?
I have the same problem with the dreaded gap in the back. I have the worst time finding jeans that fit well. We have a large mall near us and I went to every store and tried on every style of jean that they offered over several times. It was tedious, but I finally found that I love Ralph Lauren jeans, one particular style. DKNY sometimes works for me too and occasionally I will find some in Gap and Banana Republic.
Good luck to you!
I know there are some jeans available now that are supposed to fit better so you don't get the gap around the waist but I can't for the life of me right now think which brands they are.
I have jeans from a variety of places but my absolute favs are my rock and republics...too bad they can be pretty $$
If I'm thinking of a pear shape correctly, I'm guessing you are a bit bigger through the butt/thigh area but have a smaller waist? If so, that's my problem too.
I did the thing Stacey mentioned above at KOP one weekend last Fall and spent the whole day trying on any and every jean I could. I was willing to pay anything for a perfect-fitting pair of jeans. I tried on cheap jeans and designer jeans and the ones I ended up buying and LOVING (so much so I got two friends on the bandwagon) were from Express - the Eva Curvy. I prefer the Fit & Flare style personally. I've also had great luck with Gap Curvy but I'm not sure if their cut has changed since they introduced their new jean line. Both lines come in different lengths as well. It sounds to me if your body type is as I described above, that you need to find a curvy cut
HTH!
I love my Gap Essential jeans too, but they stopped making them. Gap re-did their jean line to be more "designer". I haven't tried them on yet.
Ditto! I found that I LOVE Eddie Bauer jeans. They're so perfect for me that I can buy them online now without even trying them on.
Have you tried that one jean fit website, I can't remember the name at the moment it started with a z.
It asked a bunch of questions and then gave you the brands and styles that should work for you.
Cancer sucks.
