English lesson for the day!
Ok smart ladies.......I'm in a debate. I need some feedback on this or even just the right answer. Google isn't helping me too much with my exact question. Perhaps one of you can.
So when describing a set of photos, say on FB, would you title it, "Sarah and me" or "Sarah and I" ?
What do you all think?

I vote for "Sarah and me."
The rule I follow is: if you removed the "Sarah and" part, what would you put? "Me," right? You wouldn't label a photo of just youself "I" (at least, I wouldn't). If it would be "me" by yourself in that context, it would be "Sarah and me" in the same context.
I could be wrong here but my answer is: 'Sarah and me'.
I tend to go the route of removing the other party in the statement ie 'Sarah' in this case and going with what makes the most sense with what's left. So, labelling the set of photos 'I' wouldn't make as much sense as 'Me'.
On the flip side, this sentence would produce a different result:
"Sarah and I had a picnic".
Remove Sarah from the equation and "I had a picnic" is gramatically correct, as opposed to "Me had a picnic".

See, I thought it was "Sarah and I" as well.
I've literally polled anyone and everyone I can think of besides my friends on FB because the debate is with someone on FB so that wouldn't be nice!

I did find this, if it helps at all.
"I" is normally the subject pronoun and "me" is the object pronoun. (Nominative and indicative) That is, "I" is used when you are doing the action in the sentence, and "me" when you are receiving it.
Awwww man, my mum's computer is agonizingly slow! What you said! Lol.
This is exactly how I always figure out which is correct.
I've always heard that removal rule too...another vote for "Sarah & me"

For a title of a photo it should be "Me & Sarah" because you ladies are the object of the picture. "Sarah & I" is what you would use to begin a sentence (you are the subject). "Me & Sarah" is what you would use when you are the object. Side note: You put the other person's name first when beginning the sentence (the "burro" always goes first according to my 6th grade teacher) but you put your name first when you are the object)
