Hi Ladies-
Does anyone know of a good boarding place on the northshore? My husband and I have to go out of town this weekend as well as the week of Thanksgiving and we can't take our dog with us. I'm completely lost at this point and I already feel so bad for leaving her....
TIA
Re: Dog Boarding--Help!
LSU- thank you so much! I really appreciate you keeping me updated. Have you ever checked out these two:
I'll have to check into the animal hospital...thanks for the tip!
LSU- I ended up just getting a dog sitter for the weekend, she'll come as many times as you want and our dog will have the comfort of being at home. (she's a rescue so I was concerned about sending her away somewhere...we just got her in July) It's $15 a visit and she'll feed and walk your dog among other things. If you're interested--let me know and I'll give you the contact information. She seems trustworthy and reliable. This storm is making ME nervous, too. I've only been down here since May so this is all new to me....I was counting on you gals to let me know when I should be panicking!
*L*
There is also Pongo's Pet Palace on Hwy. 59 not sure if it's Abita Springs or Mandeville, really close to the border though. It's a bit fancier, but they are really nice and offer other services.?
I've never used them because we always need Sunday pick up and they don't offer that.
The storm, is freaking me out a little, though I know I can't worry until this weekend when we see where it goes.
Emily, just watch the news, if they say go, go. Since we're on the northshore there is a less risk of flooding, more risk of tree/wind damage. We won't leave unless it's a upper three or higher. Just get some supplies just in case! (If you go to local news station websites there will be hurricane supply lists... that will give you a start!)?
Not on the NS but in Metairie close to Causeway. Puppy Love website is puppylovenola.com
We left Oreo there while we were oot for a week. It's a kennel free boarding place. The dogs are only kenneled to sleep and are out the whole day. They have a webcam and I think it's $17 a day.
Oreo lvoed it and so did we. Also we live on the westbank and will use Puppy Love anytime.
If you go there, tell Angela that Trinity and Oreo sent you,...lol
