Vamp Diaries/Twilight Comparison
My first time posting here but I'm a twihard like the rest of you lol... Watching Vamp Diaries the other night and the reference to Wuthering Heights really annoyed me. Was this in the original book series? We all know WH was mentioned in the Twilight series and I'm just wondering if it was in the VD books too... Weird coincidence or blatant copying?

My first time posting here too but I can answer for you.
Vampire Diaries (to the best of my knowledge - I read them ages ago) does not mention Wuthering Heights at all (at least in the first 4 books), I'm not quite sure why they added that into the tv episode, it shocked me a bit too. However, PP is right and the VD books were written well before Twilight - in the early '90's.
And PP, I'd give it a chance if you've got them taped, I love Twilight like there's no tomorrow and I'm also a True Blood fan and VD is kind of in the middle, edgier than Twilight but not as blatantly adult as TB. I'm hooked so far.

Thanks ladies. I had read the Vamp Diaries were written way before Twilight but I wasn't sure if the Wuthering Heights comment was in the books or just the show. Why on earth throw that in there? Weird...
