College dresses?

Hey there!  Lurker here :-)

In Lubbock, where I went to college (Go Tech!) they had a bunch of stores that sold "texas tech" themed dresses; they were cotton and pretty cute.  I'm sure it's a small-town thing, but does anyone in Plano or Frisco sell anything like that? Please let me know if you know! TY!

Re: College dresses?

  • You can order them online through Red Raider Outfitter. There is also a store, Rally House, that I heard about on a Tech message board that has Tech merchandise. I think it is in Plano at Park & Preston. I'm not sure if they'd carry the dresses or not. There is also the Student Body Co-Op at Mockingbird Station that might have them, as well.

     Wreck 'Em Tech!!!!!!!!!

  • I live right by Rally House and have never seen it until you mentioned it--went and blew a ton of money on Tech stuff! Awesome! thank you so much!!
  • I've never been there, but need to go by there sometime. Did they have the dresses? If not, I know that the Student Body Co-op does for sure.
  • Thanks for this post. I had no idea about Rally House and I'm always looking for Tech stuff locally!

I actually had one specifically made for me by the woman who originally started the whole Tech dress thing. Her name is Jarita, and her email address is jaritapascasio@alltel.blackberry.com

She made it the exact size I wanted (I took my own measurements), so it was bigger on top in the chest area and smaller on bottom. It was also a bit longer than normal so I could pair it with a jean jacket and wear it to work. In addition, I got to actually pick out the fabric that went on the ruffles, and she moved the "TECH" to the top of the ruffle on my left leg....I didn't want it on the bust as I don't need any extra attention brought there! haha

Anyways.....awesome experience and now I have the cutest dress out of it! Hope this helps!

     Wreck 'Em Tech!!!!

Did she charge similar to what Red Raider Outfitter charges? I saw a dress on RRO yesterday for $87! HOLY CRAP! The ruffle dresses sell for $58. Just curious.

  • I went to Rally House this weekend to buy some baby gifts. They have really cute stuff!! A lot of random things. I talked myself out of the little mini cake molds. But I'm thinking they are going on a birthday list!!

Yeah mine was expensive....$75. I justified it as I had wanted one for almost 2 years when they started showing up, it was custon made exactly how I wanted it to fit.,,,,and since I live in West Texas we go to games all the time-so I will wear it all the time. Can  you tell I am still trying to convince myself it was okay? haha

I never spend much money on clothes, so this was a big splurge for me :)

Yeah, I think they are adorable, but b/c I'm usually watching the game at home.....I can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for a dress that wouldn't really get worn that much! :( If I was in LBK and went to the games, it would make more sense, like it does for you.

Carla - I still haven't been by there yet. I need to go. Glad to hear they have a good selection of stuff!!! :)
