I have pink eye... again

This is my fourth time since June and now I'm out of drops so I have to go see a doctor and my town shuts down on Sundays so I'm pretty much screwed as far as getting treatment today.

I am very frustrated because I just want it gone for good. Not this every few weeks it's back thing.

Re: I have pink eye... again

  • Do you wear contacts?  If so, throw them out and don't put new ones in until you're clear.

Also, you should probably get new mascara, eye liner, shadow etc - anything that touches your eye.

I was prone to them when I was younger and wore contacts and ended up having to go without for a while and buy all new makeup.  It sucked, but not as bad as pink eye.

Hope it's gone for good soon!

  • I do wear contacts and I've thrown them out every time as well as my mascara. This time though I ran out of contact solution and didn't change my solution for two days. Pretty sure that was the culprit. I was just at the ER in town and got drops thankfully.

Thank goodness I don't buy expensive mascara or I could have gone through a good chunk of money by now.

  • Ditto everything that Amy mentioned. I would also wash any eyeshadow brushes with an antibacterial wash as well to make sure that nothing that comes near your eyes are contaminated with bacteria.

I hope that you get everything treated soon and you get rid of pink eye once and for all.
