Michelles water broke!
I got a text and her water broke just before 4 am. They are at the hospital. They are waiting to see if she is getting sent home or not because her contractions are too far apart. I will update as it comes in.

Shes been working up until today but now that her water broke she will be.
ETA: Shes only 1 cm dialated just as an fyi since elizabeth had asked me.
For some reason I thought once your water broke, they would keep you regardless because it's dangerous for the baby. I have no idea why I thought that though! haha...

I think you can go for a certain amount of time without the fluid. More the likely the doctor told her to come back after a certain period of time if her contractions aren't closer together.
I'm surprised they're sending her home too. I thought someone had told me that after your water broke, infection was a higher risk. Although they told my mom to stay home after her water broke until she was ready - but I was her 3rd child and the Dr said "M, this is your third child... you know better than I do how ready or unready you are to have it!" LOL
Tell her we're thinking of her!

Yup, seems like it might have been false labor but that's just what I'm guessing. Now it's just a big waiting game. She could come tonight or come 2 weeks from now when they have to induce me. My water didn't break but I had fluid from something else; I believe it was from my uterus getting soft or something. I was half asleep this morning when we were in L&D. We called the nurse line to double check everything and have her read over the notes back to us.
Short story long..no baby yet.
