Pumpkin Carving Party

Hi There,

I am planning on having a Pumkin Carving Party in mid-October. Do you girls think it would be appropriate to have everyone bring their own pumpkins? I am supplying the food, drinks, carving kits, and paint and mini pumpkins for the kids, but would it be acceptable to have adults bring their own pumpkin? Also, how would I word that on the invitation? Thanks!

Re: Pumpkin Carving Party

  • Totally.  You can have fun with it and put B.Y.O.P. on the invites too.
  • We go to an annual carving party and everyone always brings their own.  Good luck!

Oh, the October Martha Living magazine has some recipes that would be GREAT for your party!

  • Thank you so much! I will have to check that out!
  • Absolutely BYOP!!!! Sounds like lots of fun!

  • I used to do this annually and I did exactly what the PP said - BYOP. :) I always bought a few extra ones to have on hand in case people forget one. We would roast pumpkin seeds with different flavorings and also do caramel apples with fun toppings.  And I served mulled cider... Yum! :) It was messy though I bought large contractor bags to lay down under the punpkin carving area. - just a warning - we would do it outside on the deck and then move inside for the food/activities.
