Ornament Ladies....

I thought it would be helpful to post what our tress are like so our secret nestie can buy something in our theme.

My tree is done in halmark type ornaments with red and cobalt balls. I like to bake, have a dog, like reading, and spending time with my neice and nephew! Hope this helps!!

Re: Ornament Ladies....

  • Awesome idea, Carie!!

I have a very nontraditional tree.  The theme is snowflakes and it is black, white and silver (with a little off white and light gold).  I love glitter and feathers.

  • Awesome idea Carie!  :-)

My tree is decorated in red and silver.  I have a lot of different types of ornaments and really, I love anything that is either red, white, or silver.

  • Well, it's our first Christmas as a married couple, so this is going to be new for us! I plan(and DH has agreed ;)) to do our tree in purple/plum, silver, and white. As of now, we don't have any ornaments yet, so you don't have to worry about it "fitting in" with the rest, haha.
  • I think typically you put what kind of ornaments you would like on your elfster profile when you sign up, that way your person can see what you would like

That's what I did last year and I'm leaving it there for this year.  That way it will be up available for people to see throughout all rounds.  It's under "Wishlist."

Here it is anyway Smile :  burgundy, sage green, cream, gold, pearls, anything with a G monogram

  • Am I the only crazy person with more than one tree?  Embarrassed

The info should be on my profile but just in case:  living room tree is silver, white and sparkly; kitchen is red; bedroom is pink and the new master bedroom tree is going to be a celadon green and blue.

yeah, yeah - I know that I have Christmas issues!!

I bought a couple mini sparkly trees on clearance after Christmas last year, but I haven't dedided where they're going or what I want on them yet so I'm sticking with the main tree.  And hey, at least you're giving your person lots of options!

  • Mine is on my elfster profile, also.

Ours is decorated mainly in red and gold and there's a little silver thrown in here and there. We don't do the themed ornaments - ours are more neutral rather than Hallmark-type but I don't mind religious ones or anything like that.

  • Great idea!  I haven't had a chance to get over to elfster and figure everything out yet - we just got back from our honeymoon this morning.

This will be our first tree as a married couple - and it will have no theme!  We have ornaments from both sides of the family, and a bunch of random stuff... our tree is like a scrapbook.  LOL!

Hopefully today some time I will be able to go through all the emails I missed while in Hawaii... I am so excited for the ornament exchange!  Smile

  • I am envious of the people w/ multiple trees.  I would love to add one--maybe next year!!!!

My theme is gold, silver and white.

  • I think mine is up on elfster too, but I could be wrong, and I like the idea of putting it in a post! :) We have no theme...unless you count superheroes and cartoon characters.  I like Peanuts Cartoon Characters the best! :)

  • I think I just put it in Elfster.  But here it is.  We have a traditional tree with a bunch of random ornaments from our family.  Both our mom's boxed up our old ornaments and gave them to us.  I like christmas/winter type themes like flakes, reindeer, santa.

  • Don't forget to put these in your wish list on elfster.  A lot of the girls don't check this board too much.

I like whimsical ornaments, especially reindeer.  Colors I like are traditional red & green & lime green.

  • These are on elfster, too.

Our tree doesn't have a theme but I like reindeer, snowflakes and stars. I like simple ornaments. I'm not a fan of the cartoonish ornaments.

  • thank you for posting this! I *thought* this was on my elfster profile but my ss asked about it and then I was having issues with elfster and couldn't post it... Anyway... My tree is all different colors - primarily deep colors though - scarlet, forrest green, navy, royal purple etc.  There are also lots of sparkles, both gold and silver.  We are also starting a texas tech tree in our basement so red and black would be awesome as well.!
TTC since August 2008 4 cycles Femara = BFN Dx PCOS February 2010, 1000 mg Metformin XR IUI #1: Dexamethasone + Femara + Ovidrel + Progesterone = BFN IUI #2: Dexamethasone + Femara + Ovidrel + Progesterone = BFP! Our son arrived January 17, 2011!
  • My ss has already asked, but I'll post on here too. We have no "theme" or "colors" to our tree- it has ornaments from all different places and events thru the years. So, pretty much anything would work for us :) And a lot of our decorative type stuff got left behind in storage in the states, so really, anything will do! This year it would be fun to have a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament and also a "New House" ornament because we moved to Japan and had a baby in 2009! I guess I like ornaments that commemorate events from the year- but I really like just about anything!
