I feel like I've been posting nonstop for the last two days...but anyhoo...our washer died. ![]()
It's a front loader, and it started making a horrible noise last night - a really heaving rattling and thumping noise, like when a load gets unbalanced but stronger. When we took the clothes out there was still a big pool of soapy water in the drum (we had to rinse our clothes in the bathtub), and the drum itself was off-center. So I'm guessing that one of the doohickys that holds the drum in place has broken...I have no idea how much this will cost to fix. ![]()
Can I get some "cheap repairs or a really great washer sale" vibes? I feel like we've been hemorrhaging money lately!
Re: to continue my AW trend - broken washer
**Easy fix vibes!**
I feel your pain, last year around this time our washer broke down and we had to replace it
It was old though so it was it's time... we did have a repairman come by and he took one look and said "it's done, time for a new one" and then wrote me a bill for $65.00, ughh

as they say, "the joys of home ownership". It would be nice to just give the old landlord a call & have him fix/pay for it to be fixed!!
hopefully it is a cheap fix or if not, end of summer sales!

I hope it's a cheap and easy fix!
That was the dryer we bought. The washer is only about 2.5 years, but no longer under warranty.
