Music that keeps you movin'...
Trying to make a marathon playlist for my IPOD. Any recs?
Re: Music that keeps you movin'...
I really liked the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack for good running music - just don't run too fast to the beat.
Yeah, I love Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire
Another good "movin" music for me right now is Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling".
OK, this is REALLY embarrassing to admit...but Eye of the Tiger. Yes, the Rocky song.
My dad runs marathons, and he told me a while back that he times that one on his iPod to come on at about the 3/4 point in a race, when he's really starting feel exhausted, and the song makes him dig a bit deeper and keep going. I thought it was hilarious until I tried it one day (not while running a marathon but still while exercising lol) and you know what...it worked! I was laughing, but it totally worked! It's a good rhythm to move to, and kind of cheesily inspirational.
I second this, too! Actually, just about anything by Pink works for me.
Trust me, you're not the only one. My ex, who was a football player, asked me to get the song for his team to blare loudly in the locker room before their Grand Final.
Turns out, a LOT of sports teams play this song to get them pumped up and inspired before a game.
