stop sending your vermin over here! I swear ever since you posted your now famous humungo spider on the window pics on TK I've been terrified every time I even see a hairball or dust bunny cross my path. Well, today it finally happened. My hubby and 2 year old walked out the front door at about 9pm to grab a late dinner(bad Mama, I know) and there it was. A frickin' spider the size of my hand. I didn't even know we had spiders that big here. It looked like the mother to your window spider. I couldn't even snap a pic because I was so afraid even after my hero hubby killed it. It was no joke, the size of a tarantula just not as thick if that makes any sense. So if from now on you could keep your creepy crawlies on the other side of the planet I would appreciate it!
Re: Lisa in Oz please...
Bahahaha! Welcome to my world.
The other night there was a big ole freaking spider creeping across the living room floor. I had to scream for Ben to come take care of it. The cats and dogs were just staring at it with rather bored expressions on their faces. Some hunters they are!
<shiver> this reminds me - we were on our way out the door the other week, when i saw a huge spider on the wall. of course, i thought of you, so i put my hand close to it to take a photo, so you could see how big it was. then MH killed it for me. i prefer bringing spiders outside when possible, but this one was way too big, and we were in a hurry. but i think b/c i keep killing spiders lately, my spider karma is paying me back by bringing more spiders into the house. it is terrifying. so yes, please keep them over there! please!
and i never posted the photo b/c i'm afraid to look at it.
Lisa-
I really do wish there was some sort of dog or cat bred or trained specifically to kill spiders in house. Kinda like a drug dog only with spiders. LOL
Sandra,
You are brave girl. I couldn't even take a pic thru the glass door or when it was dead. And now you've got me all freaked out about my spider karma. CRAP! I'm in for it.
two other spiders I've killed in the last week - one in the washing machine (yes, IN the washing machine - i saw it right before i started throwing clothes in there - ewWWW!), one walking around the kitchen floor like it owned the place, one in our bathroom on the window sill. blech.
Did you kill it by washing the clothes in with it? I don't think I could have done that...I'd be too nervous about finding a hairy leg stuck in a shirt collar or something.
