U-verse

Do any of you have it?

Last night we went to get H a new cell phone and walked out of the AT&T store signed up for U-verse as well to replace our current cable/internet.  Evidently only about 5% of the houses in our area are eligible but it supposed to be really great (of course they say that) but we did a $200 credit to sign up, its essentially the same price as our old cable, and there is no commitment.  Evidently we will have a DVR that works for the whole house so if we are watching something in the living room and want to go to bed, we can just pause and pick up the show in the bedroom, which seems kinda cool.

Re: U-verse

  • I tried, but we aren't eligible...its a little weird that the cable company can have such a monopoly...
  • We wanted to get U-verse but it wasn't available for us either. DH's coworker has it and loves it though.

  • They just did the wiring in our area late last year, so we switched. We had Time Warner before, and though i had no problems with their service, I LOVE U-verse! The free DVR and HD service on every tv is definitely a plus. Plus, it's cheaper than our old bill was. More service for less money will win me over every. single. time. The only part I didn't love is how they designed the channel structure. It's still odd to me, but I've gotten used to it.
