I never get to nest anymore! I cannot believe that I am 6 weeks into school, because it's still so chaotic. I've been sick for a week and a half, which is making me crazy. I've got this nose congestion that I can't get rid of - I even bought a neti pot, which helps (I recommend it for those of you with allergy/sinus problems) but hasn't done any magical healing. I am swearing off decongestants because they make me crazy.
I took some medicine yesterday with dinner, and I was supposed to meet DH and some friends at their house later on. I sat down to read my book a little before I left, fell asleep, and woke up 2 hours later in a heavily medicated state. I brushed my teeth and crawled into bed, to be woken up at 10 to banging on my bedroom window. DH had tried to call me several times, but I never heard my phone ring. He called my mom to see if I was over there, she freaked out because he hadn't heard from me, then came over to check on me. When she knocked on the door, I still didn't wake up so she had to come around to the window to wake me. Which is not a good way to be roused when you're medicated, I might add. So I had some crazy dreams after that. Moral of the story: no more decongestants for Lima.
School's been great, my kiddos are precious. It's keeping me quite busy, though. And I realized today that my Book Fair is the week after next...YIKES! It's always something.
I try to catch up on posts a few times a week, but I sure do miss "hanging out" with yall!
Re: Hey strangers!
That sucks that you're still sick! I've been seeing you talk about it on FB.
I used to loooove the book fair when I was in school! Aww it just makes me jealous of the kids, I want to go to it!
Hi!
Sounds like you never have a boring moment at work and that is always a blessing! Hope you get better soon. Congestion is just aggravating!
Decongestants are totally evil. Just when you thought you couldn't feel any worse, right? I hope you feel better soon!
ETA: thinking about your book fair cracked me up. My mom was always the crazy parent who volunteered and dressed up as Clifford - or some other embarrassing book character.
