Karma? My position is being eliminated :(
Well crap... as soon as I take a stand for myself with my CW, I get a call saying my position is being eliminated effective October 1. I might have to go back to work at the prison, or they might redirect me to another office to complete new duties. I'm not a happy camper right now. I am SOOO ready to retire.
Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time.

It always sucks when you feel like you have no control over your job/career/future.
Seriously! And I am fortunate to at least have a job... I just really want to do something I enjoy for once... not have a job because it is the stable one in the family. H is a nurse and he is registry, so I have all of the benefits and responsibility... I'd really just like to not hate my environment, lol! Prison sucks so I'm not going to be so thrilled if I have to go back
That's totally understandable. it's one thing to appreciate the fact you have a job, doesn't mean you have to love/adore it just because you do. It sucks having a job you don't like, no matter how "lucky" you are to have it.
I did just map out the other parole units in the area- one unit will get me 20.1 miles from home, and another unit would be 27.13 miles from home... my current drive is 36.92 - so who knows, this might be a "good" thing.
Thanks for the encouragement ladies... I really needed that today! I'm going to try to think positively and not worry about what hasn't even happened yet!

Looks like I am going back to prison, probably starting on Nov. 2 (first working day of November- which also happens to be my 30th bday- crappy start to a day I'm already dreading, lol!). They are going to let me know for sure tomorrow- but it sounds like either 1) Stay with my current office partner or 2) Go back to prison... its a bummer but I have a job! I have to be grateful for that!
Thanks for the support- its going to be a looonnnngggg month dreading the change, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
