Anyone have one? Anyone know anything about them?
We're in the market for a DSLR and I just saw at my Target that they're on sale for $419.
Re: Nikon D40 DSLR?
I was looking between the D60 and the XSi which is what I ended up with but I've heard great things about the D40. I think it's just a preference of Nikon and Canon as far as functionality for the specific user.
I think I paid about 620 with lens so I'm assuming the D60 is about that so the D40 at that price is a good deal.
I don't know much about that specific model, but overall Nikon is a great brand. I would imagine it is a great camera-but like I said, I have no experience with it. I have an old Nikon that I used in photography class in college that was great, also we have a point and shoot Nikon that takes great pictures as well.
I have the Canon Rebel XSi. It takes awesome pictures, we got a great deal on it at Costco, which I know isn't in LA yet. But, it is a great camera.
