Shot himself today. No kidding! He was unloading a gun and cleaning it and it got jammed and went off in his hand, shooting his other hand (left hand). It was a freak accident with a vintage gun that he was trying to clean and sell. I just spent the afternoon in the hospital but good news! HE'S OK! Except for his broken pinky! We have an appointment in the OR tomorrow for surgery.
I'm feeling very thankful today that he's doing ok!!! It was super scary.
Re: So my husband....
Wow!!!! I'm so glad he is okay. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
... every single day of forever.
Thanks for everyone's concern, i really appreciate the kind words.
No, he is not embarrassed like someone had mentioned above. The gun went off, but the trigger was not pulled. The clip actually slide back and locked and the gun went off (this gun is over 60 years old). It was really weird because two bullets were actually released at the same exact time which is absolutely un-heard of. So, it wasn't like my husband was being a dumb-a$$ and shot himself, it was just a freak accident. I mean, he can be a dumb-a$$ sometimes, haha, but he is extremely knowledgeable and careful with guns.
It was a terrible and tragic situation, but I feel so lucky to have a husband with such a minor injury as an outcome. I can't wait to go home and take care of him after the surgery!
