MN4L

Hey - I haven't uploaded any pics to FB. There's still a few minor things left to finish up in there like baseboards, crown moulding, valance, etc...We put tiles in our kitchen, laundry room and all 3 bathrooms, and re-finished the kitchen cabinets. Lots of stuff going on over the last couple weeks! So needless to say, it's not exactly "picture ready" yet :) Our house is a disaster zone right now!

I'll post some before/after pics soon though. I think by this weekend we should have it completed (I hope).

How are your home projects coming along?

Re: MN4L

  • wow awesome. Your Before pics are going to be so much better than our current pics though :P I'm so envious that you have so many talented people in your family that can help you with your renos!

We have been progressing slowly but surely! Over summer break (first week of a 2 week break), I painted our living room/dining room, but I still need to finish painting the french doors and get window treatments, it looks so awesome though. Over the last couple weekends DH re-sealed the driveway, and I re-finished the front door (wood) and re-stained the garage door, so curb appeal +++ I suppose things will never be done ;) but I will be taking pics once I'm done the painting in the LR & DR, the before & after in there is pretty astonishing. DH and I have been on a good streak where we have done a lot of work so hopefully we'll keep it up indoors when it gets cold! We want to do a total renovation of our upstairs bathroom - right now it's 60's style (pink bathtub!!!)

We also got an eco-energy audit and replaced our hot water heater with a tankless! It's working great.

  • Thankfully we were able to get the cabinet doors sprayed at my brother's shop, and get our tiles too. Otherwise, our reno project would have cost a lot more! We did hire someone local to install our tiles though. We are lucky to have family that can help!

Sounds like you guys have been super busy! Looking forward to seeing your before & after pics too. I think our next project might be our bedroom. I really want to paint it, and get new furniture so it can look more "put together". It's probably the most ignored room in the house right now.

We were also looking into the tankless hot water heater. We'll see when we get around to that!

    So...pink bathtub huh? :)
