Bachelorette Party Ideas

BFF wants a low key bachelorette party.  She doesn't want the typical passion party or strippers.  Nothing too off the wall since she wants to invite her mom, FMIL and possibly grandmothers to the day event.  I suggested a winery or spa.  Any other ideas?  I thought we could make a day out of it, but BFF does want to have a nice dinner with drinking downtown afterwards.  TIA

Re: Bachelorette Party Ideas

  • I really like the idea of touring a winery, assuming that she's into that.  A spa could rack up fast if cost is a deciding factor.

  • I like the winery idea also, definitely a laid back tour.

We rode segways for my b-party. A nearby beach had segway tours, so we spent the day riding down the boardwalk and around town. And for my sister's b-party we did a zip line tour.

  • For my sister's bachelorette party we rented a room at a local pottery place. We all got to pick out a peice of pottery and paint it. some girls gave their peice to her and others kept them. It's great because you could bring in your own food and its very reasonable. The Bride also made a large plate that she ended up using as her guest book at the wedding. It was awesome and a lot of fun, even for those who didn't feel they were that "crafty."

  • I think spa and winery both sound nice, but price might be a deciding factor.

If she wants to do dinner and drinks afterwards, how about you keep the wine theme going and maybe go to a wine bar and do heavy apps and cheeses?  Or maybe a tapas bar where you can have sangria?

Maybe you could have a wine tasting and take-out in a hotel suite and then go out on the town.  The older ladies can leave after the wine tasting, and the younger ladies will have somewhere to crash after partying.

An alternative to "spa" could be a place where everyone could get mani/pedis.

My BFF is getting married next year and I'm hoping that we plan something really nice for her.  She enjoyed a bachelorette she attended last year where all the girls chipped in for a limo for the night.  But I am hoping that we do something a little different for her so it's not copying that party.

     Good luck!
