I was in Giant today picking up a few grocery items and wandered to the H&B aisle because I needed cotton balls. I started checking out the skin care section (specifically the Olay products) because I noticed that some of the items were on sale and I noticed that most of the products there were cheaper at Giant then at Target...even when they are NOT on sale! For example I use the Olay Regenerist Anti-aging eye roller - at Giant the regular price is $15.99 (on sale this week for $13.99) and at Target the regular price is $18.99! I always thought that stuff like that at the grocery store was supposed to be way overpriced compared to places like Target and Wal-Mart! And double score if you have a coupon that Giant will double!
I thought that it was interesting and thought I would share.
Re: Giant Health & Beauty section
i've noticed this too, but it goes both ways. i think that it depends whether its name brand products or store brand. because i've found that target's store brand tylenol, cold medicine, etc are cheaper than even giants store brand. but things like my deodorant and mascara are cheaper at giant. then again, h's claritan is cheaper at target than giant.
i dont think theres a rhyme or reason to it. but i've definitely started pricing things when i'm places even if i'm not buying it but i know what i usually pay for it, i'll check.
Giant is the only one that still carries my Bonnie Bell Lip Lix. It's chapstick with a hint of color AND it tastes like candy.
It's really a win-win-win kind of lip balm.
