ob/gyn recs?

I have been going to garden state ob/gyn in voorhees for a few years and have been pretty happy.  I am pretty much no fuss/no muss though so I don't require much. However, my annual appointment was scheduled for this past Monday afternoon.  The office cancelled it some time ago and it was re-scheduled for this morning.  I have taken the day off from work for this appointment and the office just left a voice mail for me cancelling the appointment again.  My appointment is in an hour and a half.  I completely understand emergencies and what have you but I cannot keep requesting time off from work for appointments that are being cancelled.

I am looking for recommendations for other practitioners at this time.  Preferrably a practitioner with flexible office hours (read evenings) and one that will not cancel consistently.

  • Magness-Stafford Ob-Gyn

    1810 Haddonfield-Berlin Road

    Cherry Hill, NJ 08003

I've been going there for 10 years and love it.  I usually see the MSN Linda, but everyone's good.  I believe they have night hours at least one night a week.

  • PennCare for Women in Cherry Hill, I see Dr. DeSouza-Sanders and she's awesome.  She's affiliated with PA Hospital though (which is where I see her) not Virtua.  Ob/Gyn Care of South Jersey in Lindenwold is great too, so many people I know go there and really love Dr. Cannon.  Stay away from The Women's Group in Voorhees!
  • My friend goes to the same ob/gyn as Kendra Wilkinson.  Would you like the info for that one?
  • i go to phoenix obgyn in moorestown.  they have a staff of 4 drs at that office and several nurses.  i dont think you would have to worry about cancellations due to the fact that you could just see another dr.

dr. gorlitsky is the female dr, and dr. levine delivered harper. i have seen all 4 drs and they are all nice.

  • I used to go to Dr. Godorecchi (spelling??) who's Kendra's doctor.  I went to her when she was at The Women's Group for Ob/Gyn care - all around, a scary place.  I have neon stickers plastered all over my medical charts that I'm highly allergic to sulfa drugs, like you'd literally have to be blind to miss them.  Something just told me to mention that fact to her and she said 'oh good, I'm glad you told me because I was going to prescribe a sulfa drug for you.'  I was absolutely horrified at that.  And, I know this is only my opinion but I'd say far away.
  • Thanks chiclets! I think I will contact your recs and see when I can get an appointment.  It stinks but I am really turned off by having two cancelled appointments this week.  If they had called and told me they could accomodate me today I would have been more appreciative.  The fact that they told me to call for a re-schedule just irritated me again.

I also recommend Phoenix OB/GYN. Shari's right, they have four doctors and at least three nurse practitioners. They also currently have three or four locations. I have been a patient there for over 15 years and I have never had a cancellation. The doctors and nurse practitioners have evening hours. The Moorestown office is very nice. They have a Quest lab right inside the office so if lab work is ever needed you do not have to make a second trip to another place. Hopefully you'll never need it, but they also have a high risk pregnancy doctor from UPenn with hours in their office one night per week. It's near the Target and Wegmans in the Mount Laurel / Moorestown area.

  • That would bug me too.  I go to the place Shari and Alicia recommended and I have had a good experience there.
