need some amazingly good vibes...
DH just found out that he did not get accepted into medical school and I have no idea where to begin consoling/supporting him.
Good thoughts and vibes are always appreciated. Thanks ladies!
Re: need some amazingly good vibes...
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure he just needs a loving, supportive wife right now....just reassure him that you're proud of him and that you support and love him regardless of this news. Sending you and your H good vibes!

Thanks ladies!
This is actually the 2nd time he has applied. He applied 2 years ago and got wait-listed. He spent the last 2 years volunteering and doing more work in the hospital. We even moved to the city where the med school is located so that he could work in the med school community.
He has good stats and is a great applicant but so much of it is political. He is already applying to other schools.
Is there a master's program offered at the school, or any other one nearby? The kind of program where they basically take med school classes but they don't count toward the MD?
My brother was initially rejected from med school, so he went into a "masters of medical sciences" program at a different school, intending to spend one year there and then transfer. He got rejected the second time too, so he stayed in the master's program for the second year and got the MMS. THEN he was accepted to med school.
A friend did the same thing, at yet another school, except she only had to do one year in the master's program.
Any options like that?

That's a good idea, Shex! Thanks!
He got deferred from the early decision process and put into the regular decision process. So, he is now applying to other schools for regular decision and we are hoping that maybe he will get in one of those places.
If that doesn't happen, the Master's idea will probably be explored.
You're welcome!
I hope he gets in somewhere this year, but I'm glad you have a back-up option to explore now too.
