Good quality casual belt (ex. with jeans)??

The belt I have had since grade 8 disintegrated this morning!! LOL. well actually it is still in decent shape it has just become completely unstitched and the metal bucklet part fell off.... But I think it's time for a new belt. I have bought new belts since grade 8 but they seem to wear out very quickly. Anybody have any luck with good quality belts? Any particular brand name or where did you get it?

Re: Good quality casual belt (ex. with jeans)??

  • Finally...someone who keeps their belts as long as I do! lol I actually like Levis brand. They are sold at WalMart for about $14-$30 and they have a few that are thinner with lower profile buckles so you don't suffer from the band bulge! lol Good luck.
  • thanks for the tip!! I will check out the Levis belts. Have fun in Mexico! where you staying? We went to Riu Palace for our honeymoon!!
  • We're staying at the Riu also! lmao Cool!
  • awesome, the service is superb!!! Also, the French restaurant is very small and we could not get reservations, but if you show up around the last reservation time with a little bit of a tip, and the seats are not full, they will give you a table! I think we tipped $5 and the host remembered us for the rest of the week so I guess this is abnormal!!

If you or your husband likes Scotch they have really good stuff there (DH got it at the pool bar) and will give you a full glas (yuck) haha. the specialty coffees at night by the stage are great too. You'll have a great time!

I did get sick but I have a sensitive stomach (I get sick places other than Mexico, lol), maybe pack some pepto bismal or immodium just in case, it was $13 at the hotel store.

  • Awesome...thanks for the tips! We stayed at a Riu in Aruba and were really impressed. I am excited to see it...I'll let you know how we like it :)
  • winners/stylesense is also a great place to pick up good belts for a decent price!!

    I second Winners.

any particular brand name? I have purchased belts at winners, and they are a "good deal" but the belts have still fallen apart quickly (holes stretched out etc)

  • The last one I got there was a Fossil belt. It is brown on one side and black on the other. The buckle turns so I can wear either colour.

Too funny...I think we have the same belt Jen :)

I've also bought a Guess one, and it had lasted awhile. Levi's ones are good too, DH bought one.

  • that fossil one sounds good.. DH has one like that from tip top.

    So does Joe!

  • I have a plain black fossil one that I like, and a great brown roots one that I like more. ?The fossil one was a gift, probably from winners. ?The other was from the Roots store.
