Pet Owners - Where do you allow them?

When DH and I moved in together, I brought my 2 cats into the relationship. They had always slept on the bed before we were married and DH would stay at my place, but now we close them out of the bedroom at night. Last night we let them sleep with us and, while I do miss having them cuddled at the end of the bed, I think I like it better without them in the room at night. So the question is, where do you allow your pets?[Poll]

Our kitty has free reign of the house, usually. I shut the office door when I have stuff strung out in there.

Our puppy is an outside puppy, though. She is just too big to be running around our little house!

I voted Other. Chaz sleeps in our bed with us at night, but he's not allowed on the furniture in other rooms of the house. We wouldn't mind him being on our furniture, but we don't want to build bad habits for when he's at other people's homes. He knows he's allowed on our bed and only our bed.

DH is allergic to the cats, and has asthma on top of it, so no cats in the bedroom. When it was just me they were allowed to sleep with me (so they hate him).

I don't have the energy it requires to pull Remy off of everything 500x a day. If he wants to jump somewhere, he is super persistent about it and short of living his entire life in a crate, he's going to jump. I just ignore him for the most part when he naps on the entertainment center, on top of the fridge, etc.

So yes, they're allowed wherever with the exception of the closet and laundry room because we keep those doors closed.

The cat is not allowed in my room but the dog is. The dog has her own bed and rarely is allowed to be on our bed.

Dh said no cats in the beginning but now he goes and brings her to bed if she isn't there. She sleeps at our feet and is SO snuggly in the morning

We let the dogs go where they want but basically in the same room we are in. If we leave, we shut the doors to the bedrooms/bathrooms and they can sleep on the couch etc. At night, we shut them in the bedroom with us (if we dont, they prowl the house and go nuts when they see anything out the window), one dog sleeps in the corner, the other under the bed. My first dog slept with me in bed before I met DH but hasnt since she was about 6 months old and she's 5 now.

Cami is blocked into the kitchen and living room area by a gate...only because if she got upstairs, she wouldn't be able to come down and would probably freak (she doesn't know how to go down stairs).

She used to sleep with me but H hated the smacking noises she would occasionally make at night so he kicked her out and she stays downstairs now to sleep too. The cat has full roam, but isn't allowed in our room because she knocks things off the counters.

The 2 labs are confined to our yard and our garage/palace where they have a queen size mattress and fans.
