Family holiday ideas???
My family is scattered over 3 states and do not get to spend the holidays together anymore. We did until 2 years ago so it is still a trasnition. We (the adults anyway) would like to do something that includes the whole family in something other than a gift exchange. Last year we did just stockings, the year before we made each others gifts. I am looking for some ideas that we can all do and feel together even though we are states apart.
Any ideas? Themes?

My sister and I do something similar. She lives in California and I live in Illinois. I made her a scrapbook of pictures of the two of us. I have also shared my favorite recipes.
Will you actually be spending the holiday together? Or will you be in your different towns but still want something to do as a family?
If you are together, a game night could be fun. Or make a meal together - one family for apps, main meal, desert. The part of their meal has to represent their state some how.
If you are in different states, could you all decide to go ice skating/caroling/tree triming, and then send pictures to each other? Or could you do a show and tell of your Christmas decorations? People video tape them, then post on utube so everyone can see? (I have never done this, so I don't know if it is difficult or not) Everyone could buy their own gadgets to make Skyping work- so you can all see each other year round.
