Entertaining plans this weekend?
Let's hear all about it! What do you have going on, whether its you hosting or attending as a guest?....
Re: Entertaining plans this weekend?
I'm hosting a Co-ed Cookout Shower for one of my girlfriends. The attendance is crap and I'm not happy that I had to chase people down to find out if they are coming or not but that's besides the point. I'm going to have steaks, corn on the cob, and salad. Then for drinks there will be beer and Strawberry Kiwi Sangria (so good!!). I'm still working on muchies before dinner. Maybe like a veggie tray and some dip?
Thoughts?
I have my DH's cousin and her DH over for dinner tomorrow night. She just announced that she is expecting... and I have been running around crazy trying to clean the house... and put together the newborn things we no longer need for her...
Am serving: Warm Artichoke Dip, Bread from Bakery, Olive Oil (for dipping), Salad with Red Grapes, Pecans, Blue Cheese and Red Onion (with Balsamic Dressing), Grilled Filet (My DH will do on the Grill), Potatoes, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with Raspberries & (maybe) Butterscotch Brownies.
Will be up very late tonight... my house looks like a toy bomb went off in it and there is dust in the bedrooms because I can never get to them...
I organize a large culinary group here in downtown Chicago called, What's Cookin, Chicago. For some events I have a commercial kitchen I work out of but I host a majority of the events in my home.
I'm hosting a SURPRISE birthday party for DH today. We're going to start at a local German pub, then I will invite everyone over for desserts (my own homemade ice-creams and cakes!).
