I've wanted to post something like this for some time, but after reading 'Fess Up Friday today felt right.
I know so many ladies here, have gone through or are going through issues TTC.
I can't personally share a story, but please those of you with success stories share! I know it would personally brighten my day to read, and hey, we all need rainbows & kittens every now & then.
Don't feel discouraged ladies, your day (whether with your own or maybe adopted child or maybe the peace of not having children) will come!
Re: TTC sucess stories
Its funny- my coworker was JUST asking me about my TTC issues (literally 30 second before I opened this thread)... rainbows and kittens would be nice right now- I need some hopeful stories!
Dude we have Tiffy, and Kim, and MrsR
This makes me think of the movie "As good as it gets"
Some people have stories with potato salad and picnics. Just not anyone in this car. I
that movie.
Ok, I've never seen it--- sounds entertaining though **Runs to Netflix**
Oh you gotta it's just wonderful!
My favorite quoats from the movie -
Simon Bishop: Thank you, Melvin. You overwhelm me.
[pauses]
Simon Bishop: I love you.
Melvin Udall: I tell you, buddy... I'd be the luckiest man alive if that did it for me.
and
Melvin Udall: You make me want to be a better man.
Carol Connelly: ...That's maybe the best compliment of my life.
Melvin Udall: Well, maybe I overshot a little, because I was aiming at just enough to keep you from walking out.
Oh and...
Melvin Udall: I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do, and how you are with Spencer, "Spence," and in every single thought that you have, and how you say what you mean, and how you almost always mean something that's all about being straight and good. I think most people miss that about you, and I watch them, wondering how they can watch you bring their food, and clear their tables and never get that they just met the greatest woman alive. And the fact that I get it makes me feel good, about me
Sorry I'll stop now.
OMG, lol!!! That was awesome- definitely need to Netflix- sill H changed the password!!! UGH!
As good as it gets is the best movie!!! Go watch it!!!
We tried for a 2 1/2 years before getting pregnant. I honestly was about to give up. I knew that we would have kids one way or another but was starting to wonder how long it would take. It wasn't just that we werent using birth control, we were trying! We did 9 rounds of clomid, I used the CBEFM, an ovulation watch, injectables and an IUI, but we made it! I dont have a ton of time to write out everything but here is our story, most of you have seen it, but those who havent can check it out.

If anyone needs to talk, PLEASE, call/write/email, anytime! :-)
I haven't seen As Good As it Gets in a long time. I am putting it on Netflix. It's definitely a goody!!
How much detail do you want Brandy?
We tried for 15 cycles. Started with an RE at 10. Did a total of 4 rounds of clomid. 3 at 50mg, 1 at 100. The one with 100 also included monitoring, HSG trigger shot and we were going to do IUI but did TI (timed intercourse). And success!
I am pretty sure you all know my story, and for those who don't (and for any lurkers we might have), it's detailed in my blog (link in siggy).
But the quick and dirty is that we found out we both had issues (MFI, PCOS and a septate uterus) and over the course of a year and countless doctor appointments and injections, we completed 2 IVF cycles and 2 FET cycles. 3 of the 4 cycles resulted in early (but devastating) miscarriages, and the 4th resulted in identical twin girls who are due in February. Right when all hope was lost...
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
And me, if I count.
Hehe..thanks. I just really didn't know because in the grand scheme of things. 15 cycles was nothing compared to what others have been through. And the fact that clomid and TI did the trick. I am definitely one of the lucky ones.
As much as you want to reveal.
Jewelyn, Sharra & anyone else we've missed, get your booty in here & share away.
Jewelyn's happy ending will be here any time now!
Thanks, Amy! You ladies know abot my loss, but I never really talked about it here. Even now I have a hard time talking about it... but I have always believed in miracles and I never lost faith. It will happen to all of you. I know it in my heart.
I love hearing happy endings after so much struggle! Tiff!!!!! What a great video!!!! I was sobbing my eyes through it!!! I love love loved it!!! Beautiful and the song!!!! That song gets me everytime!!!
My IUI cycle starts next week. :::::fingers crossed::::: :::::says prayers:::::
Good post.
It's stories like these that help a lot. It always helps to hear from others that have gone before and it helps me to rememebr if all we've gone through so far is all we go through, we're really lucky.
