Who watched the VMAs?
Whoa, lots of WTF moments for me during that show...
WTF is with Lady Gaga?? There is weird, and then there is scary-loonatic-weird. I think she crossed over to the dark side there...
Kanye - go jump off a tall building. What an a--hole. I felt so awful for poor Taylor Swift, she looked absolutely crushed. And Beyonce is so classy, what a nice thing for her to do.
Yay for my twilight peeps - the New Moon trailer looked amazing!! Is it November yet?? And Taylor Lautner - I don't care that he is only 17....the boy is smokin' hot.
Oh, and the MJ tribute was good - I was expecting a little more but I really like the part when Janet came out and did "Scream" with video-Michael.

OKay, from what I heard, earlier in the match she smashed her racket into the ground and tossed it at the net and got some sort of tennis penalty point. Then at a critical point when she was just about to lose, a line judge called her on a foot fault and said she stepped on a line and it caused her to be even more likely to lose. She (it is on camera, you can lip read the whole thing) went over to the judge and cursed her out and threatened to shove a fvckn ball down her fvckn throat. The judge went to the ref/ump/head dude and related the story and Serena got her second warning which means she is disqualified.
It was just a weekend of crazy people!

There is a pic of Kanye on the red carpet with a bottle of Henessey in his hand. Who walks around with an entire bottle of booze??? That could explain why he thought it was ok to do what he did - doesn't excuse it, but at least explains why his brain cells were not functioning correctly to tell him that it was a BAD IDEA.
Kanye West has such an inflated sense of self. He needs someone in his life to tell him to shut the f up!
Did you see Beyonce's face when he said that? She was like what are you doing Kanye? She handled the situation so well. She's a classy lady.
Every year MTV always tries to out due themselves, banking on all sorts of random, crazed moments to happen, and Kanye was it for them. At first glance, I thought him being up there next to Taylor was part of a comedy set-up, I couldn't believe he was actually stealing her moment. I was a fan of his when he first exploded on the scene, but now, he is a media-whore--yep I said it!
The host Russel, is one crazy British guy! I'm still trying to figure out if I like him, but I think not, compared to when Chris Rock hosted. And Lady Gaga, what circle of hell or alien space ship did she arrive from?! (Not to affend any Lady Gaga fans), but her whole presence just doesn't feel authentic. She is trying to force this bizarre image and it just ain't working.
I was mesmerized by the MJ tribute an loved seeing Janet work her magic. You could tell it was a very cathartic release for her. I had chills.
I didn't watch it so I am only aware of it because of the endless airplay on the morning news programs. ::adding another line item to the list of reasons why I can't stand Kanye West::
I agree with everything you said. I watched solely to see the New Moon trailer. I'm now counting down the days until November 20th :-)
Kayne is such an a$$hat. Three apologies later, I still feel no sympathy for him. I wish awards shows would stop allowing him to attend.
I don't get Lady Gaga. I like her songs I've heard well enough, but I don't really like or understand her. Someone called her red outfit "fashion forward." She looked like the king from burger king if he went mud wrestling in ketchup.
Yes there is! Go to the Nest Book Club, it's a sub-board. We are gearing up to do a re-read before the movie - Twilight in October, New Moon in November.
We are all crazy on that board, it's a fun place. :-)
I must be lame, because I have no desire to read the Twilight novels or see the movies.
Lady GaGa was a hot mess. DH said she was "a walking ad for Kotex."

You are not lame. I didn't either until my mom bought me Twilight for my bday and I decided to give it a try...and quickly become totally obsessed.
Ditto that! I was working on something in the living room when my husband popped the movie in from Netflix. I have since been hooked in a totally unhealthy, in love with a fictional vampire kind of way :-)
