Labor Story!
Hi everyone! I finally have a chance to get online for a bit. I've been pretty busy with Kingston and big bro Eric : )
Thanks for all the well wishes. Also much love to Amy who did my fabulous labor and delivery pics, it is exactly what I wanted!
So my induction was supposed to be at 5am on Monday. I called at 4:30 and they didn't have a room available. They asked me to call back at 8. I did, and was told to come in at nine. We started the induction with pitocin a little after 11am. I visited with my fam for a little, then slept from about 1 to 5ish. (epi went in at about 1) I woke up and felt a little pressure at my pelvis. I was just checked at 4, and still 4cm, so I didn't think much of it. I mentioned it to the nurse in passing anyways, and I was 10CM!
holy smokes! I called Amy immediately and told her to get down there. I was a little worried she wouldn't make it in time, but I felt no urge to push, so we just waited it out. I was just hanging out for a while, waiting. The doctor walked in at 7pm, and Kingston was born at 7:11 pm, about 4-5 contractions later.
This delivery was MUCH easier than my first. I didn't experience any pain, and felt wonderful after I was all stitched up (and on my pain meds for my episiotomy!) : )
K is doing great, he sleeps all day/night. I wake him to feed every 3 hours or so. BFing and pumping are going excellent. My milk came in yesterday in abundance! Eric is finally getting used to having him around and now trying to "help" me. Overall, I'm a little tired and feel like a milk machine, but loving every second of it!
I'm off to do a little mini photoshoot for him today,I'll share pics later!
