I am so proud of the IE Nest

Seriously, we have an amazing group of women here. Some of us have never met, and some of us have never even met Jewelyn and yet here we are all heartbroken for her and praying for her family.

All of the ideas for support, fundraisers, etc. are so touching and I know Jewelyn would be so touched by what everyone is doing to help her husband and baby girl.

The way this board is coming together to support one of our own and her family during probably the toughest thing they'll ever face is so heartwarming.

I am seriously proud of all of you for being such kind, sweet and caring women.

  • I totally agree. I was just telling my mom what an awesome group of women we have on here. I fwould feel kinda lame sometimes telling people about my "online friends", but we have gotten to the point where it is definitely more than that. I <3 you all!

Indeed. I've made such good friends on our board.

  • You know, I've always kind of been down on the IE Nest board for various reasons.

But no more.  Really, there are so many good people here.

  • Ditto Becki. I am proud of the way everyone has come together so quickly to help out. I am beside myself.
  • Proud too. I am so glad I have all of you to lend love and support at a time like this. You ladies are my friends for life!
  • I agree. I always knew this board was awesome and you girls were becoming a part of my life but this really does take it to a whole new level. I told DH it might be weird for awhile but he said would Jewel want you to stop? And of course she wouldn't.
  • This group is such an awesome group of ladies. It is absolutely amazing that from this "faceless" Internet "thing", that we can truly be open and able to making lifelong friends. I am so happy to have found this group, and that it has such amazing women behind the screennames. Thank God for get-togethers and the wonderful women I've been so blessed to meet.

  • You get to know each other really well when you post everyday on a message board. Especially when you have been posting for several years like Jewelyn has.

  • Ditto what everyone else has said. This board has been amazing today and I know we all have been touched by Jewelyn.
  • This is the second time I've witnessed an outpouring of strength and support for someone from nesties.  It really truly amazes me, kind of restores your faith in humanity, you know?

I know what you mean. There is so much hate out there, so much division in our country, and what seems like so little compassion. It makes me sad to think this is the world I brought my baby into. But then I see what has happened here today and I'm glad that there is still hope for the world R is going to grow up in.

I know we have a great group of girls here, but out of curiosity...what was the first you witnessed?

. It was with the LA board and one of the nestie when her daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Every body sprang into action and as a group we are sil putting our efforts into fund raising and finding her a donor.
  • Oh, wow. That's wonderful.

    how is her daughter now?
