Re: What's going on?
My weekend was good. Went to my soon-to-be nephew's birthday party (my brother and SIL are adopting a foster child) on Saturday, then came back to Alexandria. Yesterday I FINALLY got James to hang my pendant light over my sink, and we had that party for BIL's girlfriend and friend.
I think tonight we're going to do some deer wraps (with cream cheese and jalapeno, wrapped in bacon) on the pit. We also have some fish that needs to be fried. Just gonna hang out at home!
I must try these deer/bacon/cream cheese things soon.
I have another week of school and housework ahead of me. I ended up sleeping most of the day yesterday so the laundry is STILL not folded (it's been sitting in the living room for at least a week). And I have a huge headache this morning. I have so much to do for school that I have been slacking on. I hate to say it but I think I need to ban myself from the nest for a few days.
This past weekend was ok. Sat we went to my friends wedding which was nice. Then we went to see my great-grandmother. I ended up in tears b/c I'm afraid it's the last time I'll see her. She's really not doing that great. We went to visit my parents after that. I deserve a freaking gold medal for that one.
Ok, enough whining. Good things for this week! I am finally going to finish my fall wreath tonight! Mr. Shoe is bringing home all the stuff I need to decorate the front porch for fall tomorrow! The weather is finally going to cool off this week! Mr. Shoe is making shrimp stew for dinner tonight which is one of my fav's!
Just found out that DH and I are 99% surely hosting Thanksgiving at our house! Very excited!!
My fantasy football team kicked booty thanks to Mr. Manning hehe!
Oh and I decorated these cute girly sheep cookies for a friend who is expecting! They came out cute...can't wait to blog about them!
For this week, I need to do a lot of cross-stitching...the same friend is expecting in 5 short weeks and I've been procrastinating. :

BIL was at the house the whole weekend helping us paint the beams in our living room and put up a new fan. We got a lot done but I am so super tired today!
