IE Girls

I've contacted a friend of mine who has a non-profit organization dealing with these situations.  She has offered to get the word our through her organization for donations, like diapers, formula, gift cards etc.  She also made me aware that any donations that are made to the paypal account, Philip unfortunately will be taxed on.  She said that someone would need to get a federal tax id # and open up a bank accout calling it the Jewelyn (last name) fund.  That way anyone making the donations could also use it as a tax write off, and Philip would not be liable for any taxes on the donations he received.

She has also offered to help put on a fundraiser for the family.  Also, she would like to put together a basket filled with baby supplies, gift cards, etc. from her foundation.

  • Oops this was posted under my other name I use for another board
  • Wow- I'm crying again... that is so sweet. That is great information and will definitely be useful.

Someone (sorry, my brain is fried and I can't remember who) was talking about opening a bank account earlier this morning- so maybe by this evening that detail can be ironed out and we can start working on getting it all non-taxable.

That is so amazing that she would like to put on a fundraiser! Please let me know if I can help at all!!!        lenasinclair05 at hotmail dot com

We're throwing a yard sale at my house this saturday as well--- its at least a start and a way for all of us to get together.

Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
